This week for blink blogging I am talking about W.I.T!
W.I.T stands for wildly important task. Anyway this week me and my group (Ella.S, Zak and I) Were testing. We have tested their favourite colour by putting a dark side and a light side. Both times we run the test the snail named Anna went for the dark side. Now we have some help for what to colour the trap like! We have done two other tests. The other one was a maze, and the last one with salt and lettuce to test if they could smell the salt.

Blink blogging
This week I have made progress in maths. We have done an Ikan test and me and Ella are not entirely happy with our results and we have set a goal. Our goal is to get all the goals that we got wrong in the Ikan right! So far we have accomplished one goal which was to Change decimals within thousandths to percentages. I am proud at how we only took 3 days to learn this goal! 5 more weeks to learn 9 or more goals! Good Luck to Me and Ella!

An Extract from Fearing my future
Fearing my future
My hands trembled, my knees buckled from underneath me sending me to the cold marble floor. I could feel a sudden fear crawling up my weak and puny body. I started screeching with horror.
Alisha rushed to my side, I couldn’t see her face in fact I couldn’t see anything at all. I had fainted!
Now this was odd. Extremely odd especially because I have watched people being chopped up, killed and even executed! I am a scientist and have never fainted at anything before, this was different though, this was so horrifyingly eerie that I couldn’t stop myself. I had discovered the end of the world!

What I am proud of this Week,
Writing:
This Week I have completed a piece of writing. I still need to revise and edit but I am very glad that the hard part is over and done with. Here is a link to my writing, Revenge
Math:
This Week I have been working on Geometry. My goal is WALT interpret plan views of a model made from cubes and make a model from someone else’s plan views. I have only just chosen this goal and still need a workshop.
Reading:
I have started a new book called the Marvels and so far it is very good. It is written by Brian Selznick, I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy mixed genres and likes pictures and text. Also by Brian Selznick... Famous movie and book- The invention of Hugo Cabret & Wonderstruck!

Making connections
How do you make a connection?
You make a connection when you realize that you have heard of whatever the text is about before, you’ve done it before, you’ve seen pictures maybe a video, have watched someone doing it , or you’ve read about it
e.g
Lillian Looked down at the ground below her, she felt dizzy and sick. She could see Tiffany up above her, Go Lillian Go! Chanted her family. Lillian was too close to the top she couldn’t go back now!
My connection:
I can remember when I went to clip and climb in Ohakune. I went super high and I was scared I was going to fall, Once I got the hang of things it was all good though.

Know your limits and other water safety
Know your limits:
You always have to know your limits, If you go past them you're likely to get scared and start worrying. If you usually jump into the water off a 1 metre rock and then see a 15 metre rock and think how about I jump off that! Then you climb up and look down then you start shaking it means you have gone way past your limits.
If in doubt stay out!
If you are not sure of something don’t do it! Don’t let people get to you if they start teasing you about not doing it, you have to be sure about whatever you do before you do it or you could be in real danger like if your friends say come on let's swim over to the other side, you say that you are not to sure because you're not a confident swimmer and they start teasing you but still don’t do it no matter what they say and do!
Be supervised!
Whenever you go swimming you should always be supervised, but you want to be supervised by someone who can save your life so not a two year old or 100 year old you’d want someone who is a powerful swimmer, knows heaps about water safety and is in the range of 16 (could be 14,15) to 70 (could be older but have to be able to swim well.)
Plan your trip!
Make sure you have planned your trip before you go somewhere that is in water. You have to remember to check the weather forecast before you go.
Be prepared!
Be prepared for anything in the water, you have to have lots of food and water in case of emergencies. Also you should have A first aid kit, insect repellent, sunblock and a warm fleece just in case!

This is my Avatar.
She has green eyes just like me and is wearing no makeup because I think that makeup just ruins your face and you look better without.
As you can see there is a plane in the background which shows my love for travelling!
She is also wearing a strappy top which is one of my favourite items of clothing in my wardrobe.
